Amanda Mason: Co-Founder and Producer
Mason received her Master’s of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, where she embraced her extensive background knowledge of opera and musical theatre. Having worked as an intern with Arizona PBS, a social media strategist with CBS 5 News, and as a live on-camera co-host for Monster Jam, Mason is no stranger to working in the media industry. She continues to apply her skills to Cronkite Rundown, as she hopes to one day succeed in her dream job of anchoring a broadcast news show.
“I think that every day is different, and that makes it interesting but it also creates some challenges. We are learning each step of the way and it’s been great.”
Chelsea Chiapuzio: Co-Founder and Producer
“My professional goal with Cronkite Rundown is to learn how to be a successful leader. Amanda Mason and I, as the Executive Producers, want to make sure this show succeeds, and that our graduate cohort team learns how a real newscast works!”
Chiapuzio received her Bachelor of Journalism Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she majored in Broadcast Journalism and Advertising/Public Relations. She also received her minor in Communications and Film Studies. A majority of Chiapuzio’s experience has been in sports broadcasting. Her dream job would be working for an entertainment network as a producer, technical director or video editor.

Longo was born in Buffalo, New York. She moved to California and attended Loyola Marymount University, where she studied English Literature and writing for her undergrad. She is a currently pursuing her Master’s of Mass Communication degree at Arizona State University. Longo’s career goals include working as a producer for a major television network.
Mackey earned her BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Montana. She is currently working towards a MA in Sports Journalism from Arizona State University. Her passion is video storytelling and she looks forward to continuing to perfect her craft.
“Whether it’s in front of the camera, behind the camera, or in the studio working on the technical side of things, I believe Cronkite Rundown has the vision of what I want to do as a career in the future.”
Trybulski is from Temecula, CA. where he studied Communication at California State University San Marcos, where he also played collegiate baseball at his undergrad as well. Trybulski enjoys sports and one day hopes to work for MLB Network.

Clinkingbeard received her BA in English (Creative Writing) from Arizona State University, where she gained professional experience interning with publications such as Arizona Foothills Magazine. She worked for the communications and marketing team at a local real estate company for several years before deciding to pursue her Master’s degree at the Cronkite school, where she is currently specializing in Public Relations. When she’s not writing or practicing on her yoga mat, you’ll find Clinkingbeard hiking the desert trails throughout her born-and-raised hometown, Phoenix.

Naczek graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and Polish language. She was an assistant editor and Wisconsin football beat reporter for Sconnie Sports Talk, where she had the opportunity to cover the Big Ten West Champions all the way to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship. Margaret is currently pursuing a masters of sports journalism degree from Arizona State University. Her dream job would be to work for Sports Illustrated or become a beat reporter for the Green Bay Packers.
“I joined Cronkite Rundown because I wanted to use the skills I was learning in my journalism classes – particularly broadcast – in a professional setting. I enjoy working with members of my cohort as well, and we get to practice before moving on to our capstone.”
Victoria Valenzuela is from Tucson, Arizona. She graduated early with her Bachelor’s degree in marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business in May of 2017, and promptly began her graduate studies at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She is currently pursuing a degree focus in broadcast journalism, with hopes to one day be a news producer.
Poblete is a graduate student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University studying broadcast journalism. He has a degree in Political Science with a focus on International Relations, and hosts a weekly broadcast segment which seeks to decrease partisanship by highlighting the thought process behind contentious political topics. Poblete has two more semesters to complete before graduating, after which he hopes to report on domestic and international politics.
Williamson is a broadcast journalism student. She was raised in New Jersey and has lived in Arizona for 5 years. She received her undergrad degree from ASU in Communication and is currently pursuing a Master of Mass Communication at ASU. She is interested in journalism because she believes that it will give her the opportunity to be connected to the community and tell the stories that often go untold. In her down time, Williamson spends time with family and friends while enjoying good food and great conversation.
“My desire to sharpen my skills as a reporter is what initially attracted me to joining Cronkite Rundown. I thought it was amazing that my classmates created an opportunity for everyone to work on their skills together.”
“I believe everybody has a story and as a journalist, my goals are to make sure those stories are told. By doing Cronkite Rundown, it gives me the ability to build my story-telling skills.
Shields was born in El Paso, Texas where she graduated from UTEP with a BA in Multimedia Journalism. She’s currently working to get her Master’s in Sports Journalism at Arizona State University. She worked in the media relations department for UTEP athletics for two years and was a college dancer. Her favorite sport is basketball and she hopes to cover March Madness one day.
With an AA in Digital Media/Broadcasting from the College of San Mateo and a BA in
Criminology/Criminal Justice from Sonoma State University, Spell is currently working towards a MA from Arizona State University in sports journalism. Born and raised in the
California Bay Area, Spell has either played or watched sports and has also performed in theatre, film, and more throughout his life. Spell is a dedicated San Francisco 49ers fan.
“My goals are simple: I know that sports broadcasting in a studio or doing a play-by-play is exactly where I am meant to be!”
Morris was born in California and is an alumni of Arizona State University, having earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication and minor in Women and Gender Studies. She decided to pursue her master’s in Mass Communication after graduation in hopes of learning how to find a way to better tell the stories of people she meets. She enjoys getting to be apart of what goes on behind the scenes, and her career goal and ultimate dream would be working in television production.
